MedVIEW Version 7.5.0 Released

7.5release

Aspyra, LLC (Aspyra) has released its latest version of MedVIEW viewing workstation and the AccessNET PACS framework. Version 7.5.0 includes a number of enhancements for both staff using the system and the system administrator at the customer site.

MedVIEW users can now view up to 5 related exams and up to 10 individual reports or scanned documents associated with those exams at the same time. Positioning of the various components can be adjusted and saved as part of the user’s preferences to save time in opening and viewing the exams. Enhancements to the Multi-Planar Reconstruction / Maximum Intensity Projection (MPR/MIP) function now enable users to set their default slab thickness by percent of slices, number of slices, or measurement while maintaining the ability to adjust it on the fly.

New toolbar buttons, additional patient identifiers in the exam search screen, and the addition of signatures to the User profile are included to help with workflow. Whether a patient has elected to share / not share their information is also now displayed for reference and is used by the system to allow / disallow emailing a link to exams to anyone other than the patient.

Enhancements were made to the Scheduler option of Aspyra’s AccessNET Web. There are now additional fields for the patient’s insurance policy number, relationship to the policy holder, and designation of any Other Services required in addition to the specific appointment. Authorized users can now easily upload documents to the patient’s appointment (questionnaire, insurance card, etc.). These enhancements will make it easier for Billing personnel to review exams for those facilities without a Radiology Information System (RIS) or other scheduling capabilities.

System Administrators now can see the date the user or ‘guest’ last logged on. This will aid facilities in managing the users by easily identifying those they may want to disable. A new report also provides information on which exams are accessible to the patient or referring physician ‘guest’ and when that access expires.
