MedVIEW PACS, powered by the latest AccessNET software version 7.5, has new features and improvements that enhance the user experience for those in the medical imaging industry. MedVIEW is a software solution that makes your operation more efficient, ensures data security, and provides better communication between different healthcare organizations. The latest version has added features to amplify the system.

What are the Latest AccessNet Software Features

1. Now Supports Digital Signatures

MedVIEW now supports the application of digital signatures to clinical reports, providing more accurate copies of verified documents. Once digital signatures have been added to your MedVIEW user profile, your signature will be stored for easy retrieval. It will automatically replace old signatures while continuing to display the associated Date/Time stamp that appears when a report is electronically signed or verified.

2. Increases Compare Functionality

MedVIEW can now automatically load the five most recent exams to create specific, comparative images that will display multiple related exams. In other words, it enables a side-by-side comparison of multiple exams to easily trace a patient’s progress.

3. Report View Expanded

The MedVIEW Report view can now be configured to display up to 10 individual report windows. Once the report settings are configured according to your specifications, when you open an exam, the system helps to quickly review the exam content. This includes reviewing the exam date and number and the specific document classifications. The system will immediately display all matching documents.

4. Mail Link Option

The Mail Link option enables the simultaneous transfer of exams to multiple recipients. When guest accounts are created with numerous selected exams, these exams can now be transferred to multiple accounts simultaneously, which simplifies the distribution process of multiple patient exams to a third-party recipient.

5. MIP/MPR Application Enhancements

The MedVIEW MIP/MPR module has been refined with the addition of a new reset option. Its function is to return manipulated MIP/MPR images to their original state. This will allow you to adjust them repeatedly without having to re-render them to return to their original condition.

6. New Toolbar Icons and Work List

Toolbar options have been provided with the addition of three new function tools and the redesign of an existing one:

  • Copy to Conference – makes selected exam images accessible to all attendees of a conference
  • Copy to Teaching File – copies the selected exam to a teaching file
  • Copy to Server Folder – places a link to the selected exam within a folder on the server
  • Magnify Scout Region – The former Scout ROI tool was enhanced and renamed Magnify Scout Region to provide unique scrolling functionality for exams displayed in Stack, Series, and Compare modes.

7. Protected Information

MedVIEW provides a column option that displays the patient’s Protected Information status. This new feature facilitates other system functionality, such as the use of Mail Link for exam sharing.

8. Search Form Feature

MedVIEW Web Enhanced with added search form features designed to give you greater control over the exams you display. These new search fields include:

  • MR Number – enables a search for a specific medical record number.
  • Account Number – enables a search for a patient’s specific account number.
  • Patient Other ID – enables a search for a specific patient’s Other ID.
  • Patient Any ID – searches the database for a match with any Patient Identifier.
  • Exam Description – enables a search for exams by recorded description
  • Exam Facilities – enables a search for exams conducted at a specific facility.
  • Exam Locations – enables a search for exams based on the resource location
  • Include States – enables a search for exams in a specified state (or states).

We have added an area for customers to be able to access videos, user manuals, how-to sheets, etc. Users must be sent an invitation to access it, so if you have an employee who wants or needs access, let Joy Wallace (jwallace@aspyra.com) know so we can set them up. We will need their email address to add them.
